Our Roots
The present-day Minneapolis, Minnesota, Alumnae Club and St. Paul, Minnesota, Alumnae Club share their roots in the Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, Alumnae Club, which was established in 1906 by members of Minnesota Alpha and chartered in 1909. The club supported fundraising for a new Minnesota Alpha chapter house and a new teachers’ residence at the Pi Beta Phi Settlement School in Tennessee. Members also served on Minnesota Alpha Chapter house, scholarship and house rules committees, and an alumna attended every chapter meeting. By 1915, the club had 35 members and was recognized as one of Pi Phi’s strongest alumnae clubs.
