Dr. Gladys Henry Dick earned her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and later contracted scarlet fever while working at Children’s Memorial Hospital. After recovering, she took a research position at the University of Chicago, where she studied kidney pathochemistry with H. Gideon Wells and the etiology of scarlet fever with her future husband, George F. Dick.

After marrying, George and Gladys conducted pioneering research that identified the bacterial toxin responsible for scarlet fever and developed the Dick test, a diagnostic skin test used to determine susceptibility to the disease. Their work also led to the development of an antitoxin that significantly reduced scarlet fever mortality rates during the early 20^th century.

Gladys was initiated in 1900.

Ree Drummond is best known as The Pioneer Woman, a multimedia brand she built from a personal blog documenting her life living on a cattle ranch outside Pawhuska, Oklahoma. What began as an online journal grew into one of the most widely followed food and lifestyle destinations online—in February 2010, Forbes ranked her No. 22 on its Top 25 Web Celebrities list.

Ree’s reach has extended well beyond the screen. Drummond has authored multiple bestselling books under The Pioneer Woman brand and launched a line of kitchen and home products sold nationally. Since 2011, she has starred in her own long-running cooking show on Food Network, “The Pioneer Woman,” which remains one of the network’s most popular programs. In 2016, she opened The Pioneer Woman Mercantile, a restaurant, bakery and retail destination in downtown Pawhuska that has since become a draw for visitors from across North America.

Faye Dunaway is an American actress who has won various notable awards, including an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, three Golden Globe Awards and a BAFTA Award. She began her career on Broadway and eventually transitioned to film, making her screen debut in 1967 in “The Happening.” That same year, she rose to fame with her portrayal of outlaw Bonnie Parker in Arthur Penn’s “Bonnie and Clyde,” for which she received her first Academy Award nomination.

Faye won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as Diana Christensen in “Network,” a role widely regarded as one of the defining performances of her career. Some of her other notable roles include Joan Crawford in the 1981 biopic “Mommie Dearest,” and the 1974 film “Chinatown” for which she earned her second Oscar nomination.

Award-winning Human Rights Statistician

Dr. Davina P. Durgana is an award-winning human rights statistician whose research has helped advance the global fight against modern slavery and human trafficking. She earned her Ph.D. in international relations from American University and has developed influential statistical models used to assess vulnerability to forced labor, human trafficking and more. Davina is best known as a co-author and senior statistician for the Global Slavery Index, one of the world’s leading resources for measuring and understanding modern slavery. She is also known for her work with the Minderoo Foundation, one of Asia’s largest philanthropic organizations.

Throughout her career, Davina has received numerous honors for her contributions. She was named the American Statistical Association’s Statistical Advocate of the Year in 2016 and was recognized on the 2017 Forbes “30 Under 30” science list. She has also served as Vice Chair of Statistics Without Borders and was selected as an inaugural Ambassador for the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), encouraging young women to pursue careers in STEM fields.

Dr. Welthy Fisher was an educator and literacy advocate whose work helped advance adult education programs around the world. During the 1940s, she traveled extensively through Latin America, India and the Middle East, studying educational systems and observing the relationship between literacy, economic opportunity and community development. These experiences showed her that literacy was essential to improving quality of life and creating social change.

Welthy founded World Education and World Literacy Canada, organizations devoted to promoting literacy and educational opportunities worldwide. Inspired by her experiences abroad and encouraged by her friend Mohandas Gandhi to continue her work in India, she founded Literacy House in Allahabad in 1953, creating an innovative model that combined literacy education with vocational training and economic opportunity. Her ideas influenced literacy initiatives across India, and she was honored by the Indian government for her contributions to education. In recognition of her image, India issued a postage stamp bearing her likeness. Welthy is the only American who has been honored this way.

As one of the longest serving NASA astronauts and the first mother to go to space, Dr. Anna Fisher is a pathbreaker in both NASA’s history and the field of STEM careers. She was first selected as a NASA astronaut in 1978, and the following year, she completed a one-year training and evaluation period. This made her eligible to serve as a Mission Specialist on STS-51A, the second flight of the Orbiter Discovery and the first space salvage mission in history. With the completion of her first flight, Anna logged a total of 192 hours in space and earned the title as the first mother to fly in space.

Following the Challenger accident in 1986, Anna worked as the Deputy of the Mission Development branch of the Astronaut Office and as the Astronaut Office Representative for Flight Data File issues where she served in several technical and leadership roles. From 1989-1996, she took a leave of absence to raise her family and later returned to the NASA Johnson Space Center in the early phases of building the International Space Station. Her last NASA project involved working on display development for the Artemis crew vehicle, Orion, before she retired in 2017.

Moira Forbes is a media executive and business leader who has helped shape conversations about women’s leadership, entrepreneurship and influence around the world. As executive vice president of Forbes Media, she oversees initiatives that highlight the achievements of women in business and public life while continuing her family’s multigenerational legacy in publishing.

In 2007, Moira founded ForbesWomen, a platform dedicated to advancing women in leadership and business. She also oversees Forbes’ annual World’s Most Powerful Women list and launched the power Women’s Summit, bringing together influential leaders across industries. Beyond her executive leadership, Moira hosts the interview series “Success with Moira Forbes” and “The Takeaway,” featuring conversations with innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers.

Moira was initiated in 1999.

Elizebeth Smith Friedman was an American cryptanalyst whose codebreaking work helped shape modern cryptography and national security. Working alongside her husband, cryptologist William F. Friedman, she became one of the leading codebreakers of the 20^th century. During Prohibition, Elizebeth helped the U.S. Coast Guard and federal law enforcement agencies dismantle international rum-running operations by deciphering thousands of encrypted messages, leading to numerous arrests and convictions.

Elizebeth continued her work during World War II, when she led a team that cracked communications used by Nazi spy networks operating throughout South America. Her efforts helped neutralize enemy espionage activities and contributed significantly to Allied intelligence operations. Elizebeth has since been recognized as one of the most accomplished cryptanalysts in American history, and her many posthumous honors include induction into the National Security Agency Hall of Honor and the Military Intelligence Hall of Fame.

Jennifer Garner is a well-known American actress who has earned a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award and four Primetime Emmy Award nominations. She studied theater at Denison University and began acting as an understudy for the Roundabout Theatre Company in New York City. In the early days of her career, she had a starring role in the teen drama series “Time of Your Life” and supporting roles in the films “Pearl Harbor” and “Catch Me If You Can.”

Jennifer rose to fame in the early 2000s for her role as Sydney Bristow in the series “Alias,” and has since received further recognition for her starring roles in notable films such as “13 Going on 30,” “Juno,” “Valentine’s Day” and “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past” as well as playing the character Elektra in superhero films. She is also a producer and co-founder of the organic baby food company, Once Upon a Farm.

Jennifer was initiated in 1991.

Kathy Garver was an American stage, film, television and voice-over actress most remembered for having portrayed Catherine “Cissy” Davis on “Family Affair.” Before that, she was cast by Cecil B DeMille in the 1956 film “The Ten Commandments.” She later appeared in several movies such as “Princess Diaries,” “Unleased” and “Helen’s Last Love.”

As a voice-over actress, Kathy’s voice can also be heard in numerous notable films, including “Apollo 13,” “Ransom” and the “Dennis the Menace” cartoon special. Aside from acting, Garver is also known for her music production, stage performance and the Comcast television talk show “Backstage! With Barry & Kathy.”

Kathy was initiated in 1965.

Phoebe is the youngest of the three children of Bill and Melinda Gates and is recognized for her work in sustainable fashion, reproductive rights and public health. She is the co-founder of the digital fashion platform Phia—designed to help shoppers find deals and make more environmentally conscious purchasing decisions—and co-host of the podcast “The Burnouts.” In 2025, she was named on the Forbes 30 under 30 list and was on Time Magazine’s Time100 Next Rising Stars list. Time Magazine also named Phia as one of the best inventions of the year in 2025.

Kaleigh is a multi-time Olympian competing in women’s water polo for Team USA. She was part of the gold medal winning U.S. Women’s Olympic water polo team at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, contributing six goals, and won gold at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. She also competed and scored a total of five goals as part of the women’s water polo team at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris that finished fourth overall.

Kaleigh was initiated in 2010.
