360-Feedback Process

Pi Beta Phi’s Officer Development Program—SOAR—values volunteer feedback as a vital tool for individual and Fraternity growth, as well as an opportunity to foster a culture of constructive feedback and development. The 360-feedback process helps Pi Phi recognize strengths, identify opportunities and enhance our leadership impact. Your participation not only shapes individual development but also contributes to refining our governance strategies, and ensuring Pi Beta Phi remains at the forefront of excellence in organizational leadership.

360-Feedback Process Extends to Specialists

In March 2025, we will launch the 360-feedback process for Specialists. This process allows those in Specialist roles to receive input from a variety of perspectives and will be used to help each Specialist grow in their role.

  • Specialists will complete a self-evaluation, provide optional peer feedback for the other Specialists on their Regional Team, and participate in a feedback conversation.
  • Collegiate Regional Directors (CRDs) will submit an online feedback form for each Specialist on their Regional Team, collaborate with the AED to complete the Specialist evaluation form—utilizing feedback received from key stakeholders—and will spearhead the efforts for the Specialist feedback conversations with the AED.
  • Alumnae Engagement Directors (AEDs) will complete an online feedback form for each Specialist on their Regional Team, collaborate with the CRD to complete the Specialist evaluation form—utilizing feedback received from key stakeholders—and be invited to participate in the Specialist feedback conversations for the Specialists on their team.
  • Specialty Directors will complete an online feedback form for each of the Specialists on their Specialty Team.
  • Headquarters (HQ) staff will submit the feedback form for the Specialists they work with regularly.

A Culture of Feedback

The 2025 Winter SOAR Seminar, led by DEI Advisory Committee Member Julie Larsen, Illinois Beta-Delta, focused on ways to enhance your feedback and leadership skills to help strengthen your role as a volunteer. The session offered practical tools and techniques for providing clear, actionable feedback, crafting powerful coaching questions, and building trust and developing others
