College Weekend

College Weekend is a premier Fraternity leadership experience designed to educate chapter leaders and Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) members on best practices in their area of focus. Through a variety of “Colleges and workshop sessions, the Fraternity provides chapter leaders and advisors with the tools, knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their officer position while learning, growing and connecting with fellow leaders from chapters across North America.

Frequently Asked Questions

All Executive Council positions and AAC members are invited to attend College Weekend. Chapters may send as many attendees as they would like. Of course, there are some important considerations to keep in mind when deciding who your chapter should send.
  1. Chapter budget. What funds are available to send a member? Registration and travel expenses are typically covered by the chapter.
  2. Current chapter leaders. Who is likely to gain the most from the College Weekend experience and curriculum? Sending chapter officers makes the most sense for chapters hoping to get the most out of their investment.
  3. Needs of the chapter. Which colleges (tracks) offer the most valuable information for your chapter?

The best piece of advice: before determining whom your chapter should send to College Weekend, seek the insight of your AAC and, if needed, your Regional Team. Each chapter should participate fully in the Pi Beta Phi Officer Training Program in the Online Learning Center regardless of their participation in College Weekend.

If a Vice President is unable to attend, one Director on their specialty team may take their place. It is recommended that an Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) member who is within their first few years serving on AAC attend.

Every chapter officer and Advisor attending College Weekend is required to register for a track. Chapter officers should register for the College in their specialty area. Advisors must register for the Alumnae Advisory Committee College. Space is limited in each track, so register as soon as possible!

You will attend your registered “College” on Friday and Saturday. While your College should be specific to your officer position, Sunday’s workshops are open to all attendees. During registration, you will be asked to select your top two preferences from a list of twelve workshops. Workshops will be determined on a first come, first served basis.

All requests for attendee fee refunds must be made in writing to events@pibetaphi.org prior to 5 p.m. CST on December 23, 2024. Any request for registration substitution must be made in writing to events@pibetaphi.org prior to 5 p.m. CST on January 8, 2025. All substitutions must be for the same College Weekend track as the member originally registered.

Please note, Pi Phi Headquarters is closed December 24-January 1; responses may be delayed.

If chapter elections are not completed by the registration deadline, it is recommended the chapter’s Leadership and Nominating Committee select the member(s) they think should attend on behalf of the chapter.

It is required for all officers to watch their training videos on the Pi Beta Phi Online Learning Center prior to attending College Weekend.

All attendees must digitally acknowledge the Pi Beta Phi Event and Meeting Acknowledgement and Assumption of Risk form when registering for College Weekend. Pi Beta Phi is partnering with the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch to ensure all current norms of industry cleaning standards are being met during College Weekend.

It is recommended that attendees test for COVID-19 and monitor any symptoms prior to departing for St. Louis. In the case that an attendee has tested positive for COVID-19 within 10 days prior to the event or is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath prior to departure for St. Louis, the attendee should not travel and shall not be permitted to attend the event.
