Meet the 2025 Pi Phi Lobbyists
In April 2025, two Pi Phis head to Capitol Hill to advocate for the fraternity and sorority experience as part of the Fraternal Government Relations Coalition (FGRC) lobbying efforts. They have the opportunity to engage with policymakers, discuss key legislative issues impacting our sisterhood and share why these matters are important to Pi Beta Phi. When I learned about the opportunity to lobby on Capitol Hill, I knew I wanted to apply. I am always looking for opportunities to step out of my comfort zone and this was no exception. It is a unique chance to represent Pi Beta Phi and other sororities on important issues that affect our organizations. Pi Beta Phi has had a tremendously positive impact on my collegiate experience, and I want to contribute in any way I can to help ensure a positive experience for others as well.
I hope to share with lawmakers the tremendous impact the sorority experience can have on a student’s college journey. Sororities support the transition to college life and help members build a network for post-college life. My experience with Pi Beta Phi has strengthened my character, deepened friendships and made me a leader for life. I want to convey the importance of continuing and enriching the sorority experience for future generations.
I wanted to lobby on behalf of Pi Beta Phi and the FGRC to gain a deeper understanding of the legislative process while advocating for Panhellenic and Interfraternity Council (IFC) students nationwide. With a passion for civic engagement, I am honored to be a voice for more than 600,000 students who value their fraternity and sorority experience.
Being a member of Pi Phi has been integral to my development as a leader. Through supportive legislation, lawmakers can ensure that other young women have the opportunity to thrive in sororities, building meaningful connections with their sisters and developing essential leadership skills.
