Meet the 2023-2024 Leadership Development Consultants

Pi Beta Phi is excited to introduce the six members serving as our 2023-2024 Leadership Development Consultants (LDCs). We can’t wait to see all they accomplish as they work with our chapters, inspire new connections and—most importantly—empower our sisterhood!

Caroline Ayers, Tennessee Gamma

Traveling Leadership Development Consultant

1.) My favorite Pi Phi memory is...

Tennesse Gamma’s first annual sisterhood retreat! I loved getting to spend a whole day with the women in our chapter talking about what it means to be a Pi Phi and live our values.

2.) What do you hope to accomplish this year as an LDC?

This year I hope to make connections that last a lifetime and feel like I have made a positive impact on the Fraternity.

3.) On travel days, I’m listening to...

a podcast; probably “Gals on the Go.”

Courtney Kross, Ohio Theta

Traveling Leadership Development Consultant

1.) Is there a member of Pi Beta Phi who inspires you? Why?

I have always looked up to the Chapter President from my first year, Michelle (Mimi) Miller. She was always so poised and a great leader yet still personable. She inspired me to run for Chapter President and I tried my hardest to model my presidency style after hers.

2.) What do you hope to accomplish this year as an LDC?

I would love to help chapter leaders feel more confident in their roles and strengthen my own professional skills.

3.) Most people don’t know, but I...

love karaoke.

Gabriella (Ella) Mackie, Delaware Alpha

Traveling Leadership Development Consultant

1.) I wanted to be an LDC because...

I wanted an opportunity to give back to the organization that has given me so much.

2.) What do you hope to accomplish this year as an LDC?

I hope I can help our chapter leaders build confidence, feel supported and inspire Lifelong Commitment in all our members.

3.) My favorite place in the world is...

where my friends and family are.

Sarah White, California Mu

Traveling Leadership Development Consultant

1.) Is there a member of Pi Beta Phi who inspires you? Why?

My big sister, Caroline! She exemplified servant leadership in our chapter and treats everyone with kindness and respect.

2.) My favorite Pi Phi memory is...

forming Pi Phi friendships across different member classes and getting to know others who I wouldn’t have met otherwise.

3.) My favorite book is...

Through Painted Deserts by Donald Miller.

Taylor Davis, Illinois Eta

Traveling Leadership Development Consultant

1.) I wanted to be an LDC because...

I loved being a leader in my chapter and watching those around me grow. It is so neat to see the individual experiences members take with them as collegians and alumnae, and I cannot wait to be someone that helps in building those experiences.

2.) What do you hope to accomplish this year as an LDC?

I hope I inspire collegians to be bold, believe in their worth and treasure this time that is so special.

3.) One food item I could never give up is...

sushi. Also, Diet Coke (I’ve tried).

Valora (Val) Hart, Indiana Delta

Resident Leadership Development Consultant, Ohio Zeta at Miami University

1.) What do you hope to accomplish this year as an LDC?

I hope to continue inspiring our collegians and help them discover their confidence and everlasting love of Pi Phi. I am excited to help reestablish Pi Phi’s Ohio Zeta Chapter and provide the women at Miami University the opportunity to join our sisterhood.

2.) My favorite Pi Phi memory is...

when Grand President Lisa Scott attended Indiana Delta’s centennial celebration. The weekend brought together member classes of every age to connect and share our favorite memories of Indiana Delta.

3.)  My favorite season is...

winter.
